Callahan, Florida - Confederate Memorial Day service Saturday in Callahan - April 26 - 10:00 AM

Ray McBerry of McDonnough, Ga., will be the featured speaker at 10 a.m. during a service in Jones Cemetery in Callahan honoring all Confederate veterans and their wives known to be buried in Nassau County.

McBerry ran for governor of Georgia in 2006. He founded Dixie Broadcasting Radio and is a highly sought speaker for Southern patriotic events. His topic will be, "Why Should We Observe Confederate Memorial Day?"

With banners flying and music playing, uniformed Confederate soldiers and ladies in period dress will honor those who served the South during the Civil War. Attendees are requested to bring lawn chairs.
