Cobb County issues Confederate History Month Proclamation

Cobb County, Georgia Commissioners present Sons of Confederate Veterans proclamation for Confederate History Month

For about the eighth consecutive year the Cobb County Board of Commissioners presented the Sons of Confederate Veterans a proclamation declaring April as Confederate History Month. Commissioner Annette Kesting did the presentation on March 25, 2008. This marks her fourth year for sponsoring it. Commissioner Kesting, a fine Southern lady, is also Black. The audience gave us a good applause and after the commission meeting several black people gave us a thumbs up on their way out.

Last year some from the news media wrote slightly negatively about the event. This year, I sent a email to the news media asking for coverage but with no response.
